Dr. Danya Keene

Dr. Danya Keene joined the ECC/HANH Board on December 15, 2020 and has a long track record of contributions in the New Haven community.

She is an Associate Professor of Public Health at Yale University and her research broadly explores how social policies contribute to health inequality, with a focus on issues related to housing and place. Her research has also examined linkages between home foreclosure, mortgage strain, and health.

In her current work, she is using qualitative interviews and nationally representative data to examine relationships between affordable housing access and type 2 diabetes self-management and control.
